I agree with your assessment for a need for this thing to be brought into existence.

I think that it would help its resilience, longevity, and effectiveness for it to have a practice and experience as part of its foundation.

And whatever this practice is, we should be the first to implement it in our lives, otherwise it would be quite hypocritical of us to expect anyone else to take them up.

I think it would help us to consider some basic practices we can implement on a daily basis and try out before our in-person meeting in about a week?

Here are my ideas, and if these are already part of your day, all the better/easier:

A few minutes of daily meditation, quiet sitting, or prayer. I dedicate 5 minutes per day to this.


An act of giving, no matter how small. For example, I saw a squirrel outside earlier today, and I went through the effort of taking some walnuts and sharing them with her.


A review/awareness of our day-to-day activity and speech and how they would perceived by someone who is considering our path.
